How this calculator works

Pick what you need above and you’ll see one of our own published prices, pulled from the same list as our pricing page. It isn’t a market estimate and doesn’t pretend to know what a DIY builder subscription, a marketplace freelancer, a UK developer or an agency would charge you for the same brief: those rates vary enormously and change constantly, and stating a figure for a business we don’t work for would be a guess dressed up as research.

What we can tell you honestly is what’s included in our price, and what tends to matter more than the headline number.

What actually changes the price of a website

• Who writes the content. A site with no copy isn’t a finished site. We can write it for you; ask when you order.
• Whether you sell or take bookings online. Payments, shipping and checkout logic all need setting up, so check they are included in any price you compare. Ours are, at the same fixed price as a brochure site.
• Hosting and updates after launch. A site nobody maintains is a site that eventually breaks or gets hacked. Our hosting and management is £20 a month if you’d rather not do it yourself.
• Turnaround. A custom WordPress build typically goes live within two to three weeks of us receiving your content.

The ongoing costs nobody budgets for

Whatever you spend on the build, it isn’t the whole cost. A UK domain typically renews at around £10 to £30 a year, a widely published range rather than a Luxbranding figure. Hosting, updates, security monitoring and backups are either your own job or a monthly plan (ours is £20 a month). Budgeting £0 for the years after launch is the most common way a website quietly stops working.

Calculator questions

Is this a quote or an estimate?

It is a real, fixed price: what you see is exactly what we charge for the scope you picked, taken directly from the price list, not a market estimate for what anyone else would charge.

What if my project does not fit neatly into one option?

Most do. If yours genuinely does not, tell us what you need and we will quote the difference in writing before you order anything.

What is not included in the price?

Domain and ongoing hosting after launch. Our own hosting, updates and security monitoring is £20 a month if you would rather not run it yourself, on the price list.

Can I pay monthly instead of a lump sum?

Yes. A custom WordPress website is £79 a month on a 12-month minimum term, with hosting included, also on the price list. It is a subscription: the site is hosted and maintained by us for as long as you subscribe. If you would like to own the site outright, we can agree a one-off buy-out fee based on the scope of your site, case by case.
